We are delighted to announce that HarperCollins has accepted a finished manuscript of The Painted Queen, started by Elizabeth Peters and completed by her dear friend and fellow mystery writer Joan Hess. The publication date is expected to be July of 2017.
Yes, this is one of the “flashback” Amelias, going back to fill some of the seasons that weren’t already written up. In this case it’s the time period during which the Nefertiti head was discovered!
and they were great friends … Hess wrote a novel based on her trip to Egypt with Barbara and friends (in which there are some thinly-concealed familiar people!)
